BOBBI DICKERSON
Bobbi is a dedicated educator with over 40 years of experience, and she offers private lessons both in the store and in her home. Her teaching philosophy is simple: it’s never too late to learn to enjoy and play the piano. Bobbi currently teaches students ranging in age from 7 to 72 and finds great joy in guiding them along their musical journeys.
STEPHANIE STEELE
Stephanie is passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians. Between private lessons and group jazz classes, there are 40+ students coming through her studio doors every week. Her music theory and jazz improv workshops branch out to middle and high school students of all levels and instruments to empower their own creativity.
MATT UNGER
With over 20 years of experience playing the piano, Matt is passionate about sharing his love for music with others. Specializing in Christian and classical music, he has honed his skills across a variety of styles and techniques in order to offer a well-rounded musical education to his students. Matt first began teaching piano in 2017 and continues to teach many students, ages 5 through adults. Whether working with beginner students or those seeking to refine their technique, Matt’s goal is to cultivate the student’s skills in a way that is both enjoyable and fulfilling.
CARISSA PITKIN COX
Carissa began her music education at Whitman College, then went on to earn a Master’s degree from The Boston Conservatory in Piano Performance and a Master’s in Musicology from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Ms. Cox has taught piano and music history since 2004, and it is her goal to demonstrate to each student the value of seeking excellence in what they do and become self-aware learners.
BRIITA ASMUND
Briita is a piano teacher based in north Richland, but she also offers lessons in students’ homes. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano from BYU Idaho, she has been playing piano for 16 years and has 8 years of teaching experience. Briita specializes in teaching young students, including children 6 and under.
DIANE MESSENGER
Diane teaches piano and violin lessons to all ages in West Richland, and her students participate in three recitals a year. Music ranges from classical to fiddle tunes, church music, movie themes and pop.
LAURA MACKEY
Laura has been teaching piano in the Red Mountain area near West Richland for over 20 years. She especially loves teaching beginner and intermediate levels and delights in helping children and young people on their musical journey. She is a member of WSMTA which opens up some opportunities for her students. Laura graduated from SPC (now SPU) with a degree in music ed.
