Bobbi Dickerson

Bobbi is a dedicated educator with over 40 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology, with a minor in Music from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Secondary Education in History from Eastern New Mexico University, and a Master’s in Reading, also from Eastern New Mexico University. Throughout her career, Bobbi has taught music and drama to students in grades 1-10, directed both adult and children’s choirs at her church, and provided individual and group piano lessons. Bobbi’s teaching philosophy is simple: it’s never too late to learn to enjoy and play the piano. She believes that the key to success is playing music that brings joy and sticking with it—no matter your age. Bobbi currently teaches students ranging in age from 7 to 72 and finds great joy in guiding them along their musical journeys. Together with her husband, Dave, she co-owns Dickerson’s Tri-City Pianos, where they are passionate about helping people find the perfect piano to suit their needs.

Stephanie Steele

Every show from Stephanie Steele is a chance to hear the world premiere of a brand new composition. Jazz standards watch out – she can’t seem to just leave them alone. She’s constantly dressing them up with modern grooves or delightfully surprising harmonies. And that’s not even mentioning her original music. Those melodies are so memorable you’ll be humming them on the car ride home. When she’s not at the piano working out a new tune, she’s doing her best to inspire the next generation of musicians. Between private lessons and group jazz classes, there are 40+ students coming through her studio doors every week. Her music theory and jazz improv workshops branch out to middle and high school students of all levels and instruments to empower their own creativity. The content comes from her very own copyrighted theory book, Music Theory 101. It’s a step-by-step textbook to help young musicians unravel the basic building blocks of music. Around the Mid-Columbia region, you can catch her playing at venues such as At Michele’s, The Emerald of Siam, The Princess Theatre, Tagaris, Avennia, Hamilton Cellars, and more. She’s usually performing with the Stephanie Steele Quintet+, or The New Normal. As Stephanie’s longest running group, the Quintet+ generally premieres most of her original works. Music is written and arranged for piano, bass, drums, trumpet, saxophone, and vocalist. The New Normal is an all-women group aimed at empowering young, female musicians in the Tri-Cities, and performs arrangements created by all members of the group. Stephanie also frequently performs in smaller settings with a duo or trio.
