Dickerson’s Tri-City Pianos Background
The Dickerson Family has been in the piano business since 1875. We have passed our expertise and knowledge down through generations through our piano tuning and service businesses. Dave Dickerson started a piano tuning and service business in 1980, and he started his first piano storefront which was open from 1990 to 2000. While Dave has serviced and repaired pianos all across Central and Eastern Washington over the years, he continued to see the need for a quality piano provider here in the Tri-Cities.
In the summer of 2019, we acquired our second piano storefront which is currently Dickerson’s Tri-City Pianos here at the uptown mall in Richland Washington. (What used to be known as Tri-City Music and before that Van Gogh’s Pianos and Organs, since the mid-1970s.)
Our storefront is the Official Central Washington Yamaha Distributor. This means we sell the market’s highest quality pianos, Yamaha, the leading brand on the market today. You can also count on us to have the best quality used pianos available in the Tri-Cities.
At Dickerson’s, you can expand your talents with piano classes, and we love helping music teachers, students, and music enthusiasts alike to find the perfect piano for their needs, and their dreams.
Our lead piano teacher Bobbie, was trained by local legend Bob McCray, and has been in education and teaching music for many years. Bobbie is our co-owner here with Dave and together their goal is to provide a space where you can learn, experience the joys of playing piano, and find your dream piano.
Mission & Vision
We passionately believe that pianos make a positive difference in your life. We’re here to help as many people as possible find and enjoy playing their dream piano every day.

Lisa Ortiz
My name is Lisa Ortiz, I was born in Cuba, I came to this country in a Boat in 1980 it was a bittersweet story for another time, moved to California were I lived for 17 years, got married to the Love of my life in 1987 and moved to Oregon lived there for just a short time, then moved back to California, had 2 beautiful children, started working in a dental office as a Sterilization technician, after 2 months decided to become a dental assistant and just a few months later received my training and received my Register Dental Assistants license. Worked for several dentists in the same office and decided to venture and get paid more money and that was the beginning of my long Journey. The economy was not good so we decided to venture back to Oregon where my husband’s family was and moved there in 1997 being in a small town was not my thing so we decided to move to Washington state and there I decided to venture into an Oral Surgery Office that was an amazing experience making really good money by the way!! until I decide to venture again after 17 1/2 years.
I went to work in another Oral Surgery practice, making good money also but change careers to the front office, not my forte but worth a try while there I met a friend that introduced me to Senegece in July 2017 I overheard her talking about this amazing lipstick that did not come off I try it and honestly did not like it made my lips look old, well my lips were so dry I had a chapstick in every coat pocket drawer in every room of my house, no I’m not exaggerating it was bad, the well short story my spline instructed me to use the gloss every day for 4 days then try it again, well 3 years later I don’t own any chapstick my Lipsence and gloss are my best friends, did I tell you I have 4 amazing grandchildren that are my life and my main focus my goal is to be able to take them all with the family on a Senegence vacation!! Yes, this is my dream!!
Now I have been working for Dickerson’s Tricity Pianos for almost 3 years I absolutely love working in a friendly environment where I can play the piano and help serve our community in so many different ways! I love helping others and love when our friendly customers come back over and over and play our pianos and they are so happy with our services!!

Anna Newcomer
The newest member of the team at Dickerson’s Tri-City Pianos, Anna started piano lessons at 8 years old and has enjoyed making music as a hobby ever since. Anna is excited to now incorporate pianos in her daily work as well, and she loves witnessing how piano music inspires other people in such a tangible way. Anna also uses her music abilities at her local church, and she strongly supports expressing beauty and goodness through music and art as a way to worship. Anna graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a degree in Humanities Liberal Arts in 2015 and is currently working on a master’s degree in Linguistics in her spare time. When she is not busy at work or school, Anna likes to be outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, or spending time with her cat and a good book.
